Chaotic Citroen Race Sees Most Of The Field Crash On One Corner
Being out on slicks during a downpour is a nightmare scenario for a racing driver. Anything vaguely resembling grip or traction quickly disappears, as you and your rivals tiptoe back to the pits for a swift tyre change.
Unfortunately, though, not everyone competing in this recent Citroen D3 Cup Denmark race at Jyllands-Ringen made it back to base for a set of wets. In fact, the majority of the field crashed out. On the same corner.
The footage cuts to the turn of woe when three cars have already embedded themselves in the barrier. Shortly after, we see four more DS3s slide into the gravel simultaneously, soon followed by a further four to give us an 11-car pile-up. Bear in mind the grid of this race was made up of 16 cars.
Special mention has to go to the driver who pops his head up out of his stricken DS3 at about the 37sec mark, only to duck back down upon seeing the torrent of sliding race cars inbound.
Thankfully, 10 of the 11 pilots involved escaped without injury, with one sent to hospital for checks.

No walls were injured during the incident
Shoddy work by the field marshal, 3 cars off at one corner at the same time should have already warranted a hard caution for the whole field. I love how that one DS3 just slowly creeps by at 1:50, probably shocked he just went from last to a guaranteed 5th
Well was it freezing rain because that looked like they hardly slowed down at all and just plowed in
basically every online forza lobby.
OMG!

Couldn’t think of anything other than that 🤣
From my extensive knowledge the last bit of that why the car went CGI was the fact of a cameraman being killed during the stunt, a sad loss for the film
