Ex-Nissan Boss Carlos Ghosn Has Been Arrested For The Fourth Time
Carlos Ghosn, the disgraced former Nissan boss, has just been rearrested by Japanese authorities. He was released on bail on 6 March - less than a month ago - having served 108 days in prison for allegedly under-reporting his salary and using Nissan funds to hide his own investment losses.
The latest twist in the story involves $32 million of Nissan’s money sent to an Omani distributor. The allegation is that Ghosn used a portion of that figure to buy a yacht.
The 65-year-old’s arrest came a day after he said on his newly created Twitter account that he was “getting ready to tell the truth about what’s happening” at a press conference on 11 April.
In January, Ghosn resigned as CEO and chairman of Renault from his prison cell, ending his last link with the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance he played a major role in forming. At the time, Nissan and Mitsubishi had already dropped the Brazillian-born businessman.
Speaking about the latest arrest, Ghosn said via his representatives: “It is part of another attempt by some individuals at Nissan to silence me by misleading the prosecutors. Why arrest me except to try to break me? I will not be broken.”

Gasp Again??
You can’t commit millions of dollars of fraud and then pretend that what you did isn’t a big deal.
Yeah but you can’t arrest someone you released just because of a tweeter message
He looks like a right bit of work…
That’s what you get for building SUVs and Crossovers
