200HP Copen!!! (Not Clickbait)

And no, it was not engine swapped.

Somehow a Copen tuning company in Japan managed to get 200HP out of the Copen’s JB-DET engine.
To do it they increased the bore making the engine to something like 800-900cc and slapped on aftermarket turbos, ecu, cooling etc.
And as you can see from the video it is fast AF.

I was really really surprised when I first discovered this today. I didn’t think 200HP could be possible from a kei car engine. 200HP from a tiny 4 cylinder just sounded impossible to me. I really didn’t think the JB-DET would be able to handle it, but apparently at around 130HP they are still reliable.

Sure 200HP isn’t that much, but considering that power is coming from an engine that used to only make 63HP and used to be 659cc is quite impressive. Also Copen’s only weigh 830KG.
