Here’s Our First Look At The All-New Ford Focus ST Wagon
Ford has released its answer to the question: “what if I want to track my big-booted daily?”
The Focus ST Wagon has just been revealed in Ford’s first official pictures. The sleek estate carries extra length at the back and accentuates its sleek roof line with a fairly large tailgate top spoiler. It looks pretty sweet, if you ask us.
Like the hatchback it’s available with two engines, starting with the one you really want; a 2.3-litre EcoBoost petrol with 276bhp, optional rev-matching and an electronic limited-slip diff.
There’s also an EcoBlue diesel with 187bhp and 295lb ft, but you don’t get the e-diff and it won’t do 0-62mph in less than six seconds. You’ll also get pretty bored of the four-pot derve moo if you do want to track it.
Both engines mate with six-speed manual gearboxes as standard but the petrol engine can also link to a seven-speed automatic.
Prices for the Focus ST Wagon start at £30,595 for the diesel and £33,095 for the petrol. Track fiends will want to add the Performance Pack to both, though. On the petrol car it covers a Track chassis mode, while as long as your gears are manual it also includes a shift indicator, launch control, rev-matching and – gasp – a multi-colour ambient light.
On the diesel the Performance pack spans the active dampers fitted as standard to the petrol, plus the track mode, shift indicator and ambient light.
An opening panoramic roof is optional on both, along with a wireless smartphone charging pad and, on the wagon, a powered tailgate.

Do you know if it’ll be available in the US?
No
And another example of the US getting shafted for no reason again
If this had AWD and was sold in the US, it would without a doubt be my next car. But no… They don’t sell the Focus at all over here any more. It’s not even on the website.
I wish they would still import the performance models of the Focus. Those are the only ones I’m interested in, and the only ones I actually see on the road.
the only Focus the US will be getting is the cross over version sadly
I have to say, wagon looks much better than a hatchback.
To me it looks like a combo of an impreza wagon, mazda 6 wagon, and a mini van. IMO I prefer the hatch, it looks sportier.
I don’t know… I’d say controversial
😮 that’s sexy I want one but I can’t cuz it isn’t coming to North America 😞
I actually prefer the look of this to the hatchback version
America’s calling. They want their cool wagon back
A surprise for sure but a welcome one
I assume this won’t be available in America?
You are unfortunately correct
I wish car manufacturers would stop with the auto rev-matching crap. Can it be turned off like in some other cars?
Ideally all the stupid electronics should be on a fuse you can remove, but manufacturers are lazy.
In most cars you can turn it off if you go through enough settings. Honestly it’s not that bad, I’ve driven a couple of performance cars with it on and off.
Yes you can. It’ll be through menus, no doubt, but we’re told that you can.
This has to be one of the nicest looking wagons I have ever seen, it looks better than some of Mercades’ wagons
Anyone know if the 2.3 is just a detuned version of the outgoing Focus RS engine?
It’s the ubiquitous 2.3L turbo four uses in everything from the Explorer, Mustang, Focus RS, etc.
