Jeep Introduces 70th Anniversary Models

Jeep is a brand with a storied history in the United States. It has taken its place as a well-loved icon in our culture. The Wrangler has continued a steady evolution, most recently offering a big change by adding a four-door model in the latest generation.

For 2011, the Grand Cherokee was redesigned onto a unibody platform shared with Mercedes. The result is a stunning success for Jeep, with volumes of over 10,000 being sold per month.

With the division doing quite well for itself, Jeep goes into 2011 in a good position. It also happens to be its 70th anniversary. To commemorate the occasion, a new lineup of special edition models was introduced at the North American International Auto Show.

The 70th Anniversary edition models are available across the range - including Compass, Grand Cherokee, Liberty, Patiroit and Wrangler. The cars get special alloy wheels and a unique Bronze Star exterior paint color.
