Lawn mower go kart conversion

I wanted to ask if there was any advice that anyone could give me on my lawn mower conversion. The engine in a B&S 12.5hp engine, I am rebuilding the hole throttle system and choke system and replacing the automatic choke with a manual one. With the B&S engines they have a system when the engine is on full throttle the choke is engaged (terrible idea) so I have to rebuild that. Anyway is there any advice, things I should do to make it faster??? Feel free to comment 😊

Pulley swap it, find a carburetor from a similar cc dirt bike or something like that

Definitely do a pulley swap. A guy in my old neighborhood built a mower. It would pull the front tires off the ground and do about 45 mph. He did a little bit of motor work but relied on a pulley swap

I had one that I had to put wheelie bars on and was terrifying to drive, had it going 80 kmh but probably would have been close to 100 if I didn’t let out

Put the thing away, which I marked with green and put a proper steel plate for your feet, the other stuff won’t survive long, I guess…
