#RallyCarChallenge Something different

Yup, Mk1 Twingo. It’s small and light, so it should work great as a rally car, but it needs some mods first. A lot of them.

Engine swap

Twingo was made by Renault do it makes sense to use Renault engine. This is f4r, used in previous gen Clio RS. But wait, there’s more! I’m not keeping it stock. Everything has to be stronger, because well, I want to twincharge it to get about 300hp. Why twincharge? No turbo lag and more power on high RPM. But wait, there’s more! Engine will replace rear seats.

Of course stock suspension can’t handle rallying, so I’d use adjustable rally suspension, faster steering etc. Wheels have to be stronger too and a wider, a lot wider, so I’m changing that too. Od course they can’t just stuck out, so I’ll go for a widebody.

Twingo V8 widebody

That should be enough. But wait, there’s even more! Engine is on the middle, but you have to deliver power to wheels somehow. So sequential gearbox (adjustable if possible) and two LSD diffs. Yes 2, it will be AWD.

I almost forgot, aero. It will need a wing (Yaris WRC styled wing would be best) and some more downforce generating bits and pieces.

I think that’s all and yes, I know, it will probably be very twitchy and basically new Metro 6r4, but it’s a Twingo. You can’t say no to Twingo.
