Why I think that Forza Horizon 2 is still the best Horizon game to come out

First reason: FH3 gives you too much control

Now don’t quote me on this but in FH3 (Forza Horizon 3), I feel that Turn 10 gives the player too much control. What I mean is that you get to pick the races, how the races are, the cars used, what the weather is like, how many laps, etc. Now in FH2, that wasn’t a thing yet. I think that it’s just too many variables going into making one race. Things were much simpler previously.

Second, the car list

Another strange one but here me out. While FH3 has many of my favorite cars (such as the McLaren 570s, GT350R, just to name a few), I preferred the car list for FH2 because it had cars I enjoyed even more (Audi S4, Ferrari Challenge Stradale), for instance, I had an Audi S4 that I pretty much fully maxed out, it was making over 900 hp and stupidly high amounts of torque. Thing would launch drama free. In FH3, I can’t remake that build because the car wasn’t included. However, it is pretty nice that Turn 10 kept the Subaru BRZ so I can make my all time favorite build (Fully maxed out on the stock motor, N/A making 433 hp and 300 LB-Ft of torque)

Third, The FH3 map is too off-roady

While some may enjoy the FH3 map, for me, there are too many off road sections, while yes it does make it nice to bee line it to the destination, sometimes the player may want to cruise. Now I know what you’re thinking, “Well the player can just drive the roads around the map.” Yes I get that but in FH2 it was more focused on being on the road rather than off (in my opinion)

Well that’ll wrap things up. While I do like FH3 a lot, I personally would take FH2, simply because in FH2, I feel like it was more involved about the festivals than the events and the gimmicks and options that FH3 has. Hope you enjoyed and sorry I haven’t been making more, I haven’t found the time to.

The map in FH3 is one of the game’s biggest downsides imo. The city doesn’t feel like a city in any was (at least to me), it just feels not right. FH2 also had a better and more organized progression

I agree with you on the map but now there are engine swaps from all brads ( op v12) available and bodykits. I also believe picking the style of the race you want is better than going in to a rainy night race in a extremely powerfull rwd car.

Progression and the map are the major problems.

how is more control a bad thing? it’s like saying you want a dictator instead of a democracy because you don’t feel like voting
