The Chinese Car Culture

We all know the awesomeness of Japan’s car scene, with drifting and mountain runs galore. China is often associated with Japan, but also sometimes left out of the car culture. Here’s why.

Strict Modification Laws

With Japan being quite lenient with car modification and tempering, China is the complete opposite. Some of China’s rules include: no modification AT ALL. The Chinese government issue a strict assembly-line style check, mostly automated. Even a color change is illegal unless you fill out and redo all the registration paperwork. HOWEVER , there is a way around this.

The Secret to Modification!

The Chinese police and inspection officers know NOTHING about car mods, and if you pay the inspection agent 200 Chinese Yuan’s (29 US Dollars) to instantly pass you. If you don’t want to do so, the inspection officers hardly know what a Turbo looks like. As long as it doesn’t look modded from the outside, you should be all good.

High-end Trends

The most popular mod to do at the moment to supercars and hypercars seems to be the “Tron” look. Much like the London Aventadors and Ferrari’s, these are also reflective and shine when light is shown on them.

Conclusion

Car mods to sports cars and more normal cars are pretty similar to Japan, with mainly drifting and Asian vehicles being used. As long as you get away with it.
