Why Mercedes is my favourite car brand: Opinion Blog

In this blogpost I will be explaining why Mercedes is my favourite car company right now. Not everyone has to agree with me, and if, for example you prefer BMW’s or Audi’s, I love those brands too and respect that opinion.

1st reason: AMG

AMG: The number one reason I love Mercedes so much. The engines, are simply fabulous, whether the 4.0L twin-turbo V-8 or the V-12. The exhaust note is amazing, and the steering feel and suspension is great. The carbon fibre accents inside and out add a nice distinctive visual flair, and the wheels are designed nicely. The fact that almost every model in the Mercedes lineup is available with an AMG variant is also great. The semi-AMG models (like the GLC43, E43, etc) add the visual flair and sound of a full-on AMG for a much cheaper price, something unique. Overall, AMG is a major contributor to why I love Mercedes so much.

Interiors: The interiors, in a Mercedes, are simply gorgeous. The leather is buttery, and not cheap feeling like many other companies, and the veneers, especially the woods are exquisetly finished. There are no gaping panel gaps, and even the plastics in the cheaper models feel substantial, durable, and well-finished. The comand infotainment system isn’t the best, but it is perfectly acceptable for most people. Take a look at the photos below, from C-class all the way up to S class. The C-class interior has been called the best out of all luxury compacts, and it is clear why, thanks to the tech, features, and exquisite materials and design. The E-class and S-class take it to a whole new level, with a HUGE virtual cockpit and infotainment screen cluster, and exquisite leathers and veneers. The seats are also fabulous, and the sweeping dash and door design is extremely elegant and attractive. Here are the photos, starting from cheapest to most expensive:

Safety: Mercedes has some of the most advanced safety systems and features on the market. Their E-class and S-class vehicles are semi-autonomous, and an even drive themselves for a short period of time. Even the CLA and C-class vehicles come with a dizzying array of safety features such as automatic braking, collision detection, blind spot monitoring, and more. They are right up there with Tesla when it comes to self-driving.

Styling: While not crazy, extreme or over-styled, Mercedes elegant, rounded, flowing design is similar on almost every model. They might be a bit conservative to some people, but the clean, simple, and elegant design really works well to create an eye-catching, sporty design that is quite attractive. Overall, these are the main 4 reasons why Mercedes is my favourite car brand. Again, this is not an advertisement for Mercedes, nor am I saying BMW’s, Audis, or other brands are bad or suck, I actually really like those 2 brands.
