-Normally driveable on the roads

-From the 90’s or earlier
-Must be Japanese and sold in Japan
I would drive a base Nissan Skyline R34 sedan with the RB20DE.

I’d go with a Z32 300ZX with an RB26 pushing around 400hp, set up for the uphill, with non-essential items stripped out to shed a few kilo’s

I would pick the honda nsx
EF8 CRX SiR with Mugen goodies. No one has one of those in Initial D.
Maybe a turbo 1999 AP1 S2000.
If older I’d go for a Nissan PAO with a hyabusa engine just for the fun of it.
