FH4-027 | The 930 Special

Over the past few years, my interest in classic Porsche’s has grown massively. Why this has occurred, I haven’t a clue, but I now have a certain appreciation for these cars that I never had before. In this post I will be featuring, you guessed it, the Porsche 930 Turbo, or more specifically in the case of Forza Horizon 4, the 1982 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3.

In its stock form, the Turbo produces 296 hp and 304 ft-lb of torque. It has a 4-speed manual transmission, and a tested in-game top speed of about 155 mph. For its time, it also manages to handle pretty nicely as well.

And if stock isn’t quite your thing, I also have another 930 Turbo, but this one is a bit more custom. This one has had its original 3.3 swapped out for a twin turbo 3.6L flat six, and after a bit of modifying, makes 509 hp and 478 ft-lb of torque. The 4-speed has also been replaced with a 6-speed, to be a bit more modern and adjustable. On the visual side, I’ve fitted the RWB bodykit and an alternate, later Porsche rear spoiler. And to finish off that custom yet still classic Porsche look, this car is sitting on a set of 17” Rotiform FUC rims and race compound tires.

Although it is a bit of a stretch from the original car, both still sound, handle and feel like the classic Porsche’s they are. Both offer such easy yet dynamic driving experiences, that I had to have two separate cars. They literally are the same, but different, and each offers different elements that the other does not.

These are only a couple of what will soon be a massive Porsche collection for me in Horizon 4. Expect to see more in the near future.

Hey bro. How do you apply decals on the car? I can’t find the search button…

You have to select ‘add a vinyl shape’ and then hit the select/back button. That should bring up the search box
