This Is The 1000bhp McLaren Speedtail’s Speedy Tail
Here’s your first look at the fish-slippery back end of the new McLaren Speedtail.
Everything about the aerodynamically laser-focused bodywork screams rapid. The new Ultimate Series car will be McLaren’s fastest ever, eclipsing the F1’s 243mph courtesy of a hybrid V8 powertrain capable of slamming around 1000bhp into the road via the back tyres.
The bodywork looks tailored to top speed runs with a selection of smooth channels, flat surfaces and elegant buttresses progressing towards the three-seater cabin. With the visible active aero flaps retracted, the ‘boot’ lip is as clean and crisp as we’ve seen on a hypercar since the Oldsmobile Aerotech.
All 106 cars are reserved by wealthy buyers looking at an eventual cost of £1.75 million. Err, plus taxes, options and customisation. McLaren has also confirmed that we’ll finally get hold of the full, delicious details for the Speedtail on 26 October. Just 11 days to wait, then.

Gives me a Bugatti Chiron vibe
Chiron is really wide and doesn’t have a huge wheelbase. Chiron is kinda like Aventador, while this gives me more of a 720S/Rimac C_two/Koenigsegg wibe, long fish design as it’s called
But yes the rear is similar.
Me waiting for new info like
Beautiful.
My guess? It’ll look like a 720S in a way
Hell yes
1000 BHP.

The tail reminds me of the c2 corvette front
