Hot hatches should be high revving naturally aspirated engine connected to a manual transmission in a small, lightweight 3 door body. Not 400hp hybridised 3 cylinder turbo connected to a 27 speed AWD transmission that looks like an egg and weighs 2 tons.

“Despite buying a hot hatch because I want something fun to drive, I also want it to have 5 doors, weigh more than the moon and have more gears than I have brain cells in an automatic transmission that completely defeats the point of buying a car for fun in the first place!”

Blame EU not the car manufacturers for the downsizing and electrification and it’s business so there is no reason to make a 3-door version if it doesn’t sell well.

I don’t mind the GTE.
But the user needs the right to repair.
And it needs to be enforced as a law as soon as possible.

I’d personally like more N/A hot hatches like the Type R’s or TS’s.

Hot hatches should be the size of Saxo TVSs, 306 X16s, Lupo GTIs and, at most, Clio V6s.
