ST150 Rim Size Question

hey guys, i want to buy new rims for my ST150.
The Standard wheels have the Diminsions 7x17 with an offset of 52mm.
i want to buy rims in 7x17 with an offset from 45 to 38mm.
in the papers of every rim set i look at its necessary to widen the fenders etc.
is it really necessary or just an “it could be” thing?

Car is an Fiesta JD3 MK6 ST150 with 35/30 springs.
The tires will stay the same size 205/40R17

Oops didn’t mean to send it already.. 52-38, they will sit 14mm wider (which is perfectly fine) i’m running 15mm spacers on my mk7 with stock 47.5 offset. So effectively i’m running 32.5 offset now

@fiesta_mk6

I’ve seen people run 17x8 with probably below ET30, so you will probably be fine. Standard offset i think is ET47.5 (base model, unsure about ST150), and im looking at some 17x7.5 ET40 (Bola B1) rims and they are gonna fit everyone so far has told me.

38 mm offset would equal a 14 mm spacer on each side. In stock form, that’s perfectly possible on a Mk.6 Fiesta. I’m not quite sure how it looks with a lowering though.

Best way to find out is to just test fit them If possible :)

As far as I’m aware you can fit 20mm spacers although this brings it in line with the arch so going 14mm wider should be fine
