~The Honda Concerto, a forgotten hatchback.

I personally really like it, and it’s something you don’t ussually see in the streets. Engine choices were:

—- 1.4 d-series SOHC carb 88 hp.

—- 1.5 d-series SOHC SPI 90 hp

—- 1.6 d-series DOHC carb 106 hp

—- 1.6 d-series SOHC MPI 115 hp

—- 1.6 d-series DOHC MPI 130 hp

—- 1.8 TURBODIESEL (Peugeot-supplied) (only sold in France, Portugal and Italy)

It shares platform and motoring with the Rover 200 and Rover 400. It features two body styles: a 4door sedan and a 5door liftback. There was also an AWD option called “RT4WD” (only sold in Japan). The Concerto was manufactured in Longbridge (UK) and Suzuka (Japan). The production started in 1988 and it ended in 1992, when BMW bought MG Rover.

Now, this car is the definition of underrated, I mean, it has a pretty sexy exterior (in my opinion) and it features some D-Series engines, both 8 valves SOHC or 16 valves DOHC or SOHC which means that this car is pretty highly tunable. But I think some of you are going to think it’s ugly, and I understand, because the exterior is pretty boxy.

Do you like this car? Did you enjoy my first blog? Let me know what you think!
Thank you very much for reading this article ;)

I own one and its awesome. Sad though it’s a 1.5i and has not the same adrenaline as a 1.6 dohc… However for me is a gorgeous car .
