My favorite person in the car world: Horacio Pagani

Hey guys, I’d like to share the story of my favorite person in the car world and why he is so special to me.
Born in Argentina in 1955, Horacio Pagani is a very special, inspiring person to me. He worked as a carbon fibre specialist at Lamborghini for some years, but after a while, he decided to start for himself and at the Geneva Motorshow of 1999, he debuted with his first creation, the Pagani Zonda C12.

Through the years after, Horacio developed the car and many, many versions rolled out of his factory in Modena. Every single one of them had the most amazing details, an incredible interior and featured an ungodly soundtrack. He gained fame and respect, and developed his cars to become a very close competitor of Lamborghini and Ferrari’s topmodels. And then came the Huayra.

He nailed it with the Zonda, and he did it again with the Huayra. I don’t think it’s prettier than the Zonda, but I do think it’s visually more spectacular. It has a higher art on wheels factor. And that’s what I love so much about Horacio. He puts so much dedication in his cars, such incredible detail, it really is unbelievable. Let me put it like this: if god was a car, Horacio would be able to sketch his face. He litteraly makes art. And that’s basically what we as petrolheads are trying to explain to non-petrolheads. Cars can be art.

My dream is to become a car designer myself, and Horacio Pagani is the exact man I want to become. So much passion. So much emotion. That simply is what I want to dedicate my life to.

If god was a car, Horacio would be able to sketch his face.
