What are the most underrated car manufacturers?

Where I live, I’d say the top 5 underrated brands are:

  • Mazda - often overlooked despite having a generally solid range
  • Subaru - almost nonexistent on roads
  • Skoda - seems to have a “cheap” image, despite the modern (VW-group) cars being pretty decent
  • Seat - slightly less cheap image but still perceived as inferior to Volkswagen
  • Hyundai - definitely improved - even the non-Genesis cars seem OK

As for most overrated, where I live that definitely goes to Audi.

Vauxhall 2014 and up yes I know what they make is rather boring but, they are just amazing cars for the money they have everything and more you need.

Honda, everyone gives them crap because they are ricer magnets, but if it says type-r, then it’s probably better then most of the other cars in the same class

Not much rice where I live - most of the riced cars I see are VW Transporters for some reason…

Agree with mazda, hyundai has been decent as of late
Subaru? They’re everywhere in the Northwest united states, here they might even be a bit overrated

Well I’m in the UK, where AWD isn’t really necessary for winter xD.

Maserati. Most people when they buy a sports car they always think Ferrari, Lambo, or Porsche. Loooove Maserati’s though.

True - they’re more GT cars than supercars, but they’re still fast, loud and cool. I feel as if Aston Martin is also sometimes overlooked.

Agreed with all of your choices.
But I had to nominate Australian cars too. Common in Australia and New Zealand, almost non-existent in other countries.

Saw one today - don’t remember ever seeing a Holden in my local area before. Couldn’t tell which one it was, but the number plate had “HSV” in it - that’s how I knew it was a Holden.

Audi is overrated asf. Went into a street and seriously found 14 audis in that street. And then I haven’t even started about VW’s

England. Literally 1/3rd of the cars near my house are Audis. TTs are everywhere, A3s and A4s are bought instead of Golfs and Q3s are the go-to family car.

Probably correct. There are loads of BMWs and Mercedes Benzs in Malaysia, but Audi? Increasing but still quite rare.
