What is your problem with the car community?
I don’t like that there are illegal meets in parking lots where all sorts of shenanigans occur, it is cool and all but it gives the car community a bad reputation, cars are impounded, people are arrested and police are also heavy disliked by the car community because of this. If we should do this we should do it in a controlled environment.

I don’t like the gap that sits between many “young” car enthusiasts and the old ones. Every first Sunday day of the month where I live there are two car meets. The cars&coffee in the morning, and the “Road Nights” in the afternoon. The cars&coffee is predominantly young people with cars typically no newer than 1985. And there is generally more conversations between the people at this meet. Walking around and talking about the cars they own and have modified. Whereas at the Road Nights meet it’s predominantly older people with classics or really low mileage newer cars because they only take them out on nice days. And most often they’re just sitting under tents…..
…..watching people look at their cars. There isn’t much conversing between people except for the people who show up in groups to the meet who already know what everyone has. Here later this week is a big event called Frog Follies which is the worlds largest pre-49 car meet. And I aim to talk with a bunch of the owners of these old cars, as opposed to letting them think that only people their age can appreciate cars of that vintage.
People who think they can tell people what they cant like
everything.
The idea that you can’t be a car enthusiast or have opinions on cars if you don’t have a license/car or are too young. Especially popular amongst the CT crowd. “You like/dislike this car? Nah f uck you, you can’t because you can’t drive so there’s no way for you to judge it” - often said by those who haven’t driven the car in question or anything like it. My opinion on cars didn’t change at all when I first drove, which is part of why that attitude annoys me so much.
yOu DoNt HaEv CaR
My problem is the hate going about.
Illegal car meets are cool, no one is getting killed. It’s just people having fun. It being illegal makes it more fun, and trying to set up controlled enviorments for everyday or every weekend isn’t possible. Would cost a lot of money, where can you drift and rev your engine list goes on. Alsl frustrated how if a person doesn’t like something on a car it’s instantly rice. Stretched tyres? Rice. Headlight eye lids? Rice. Car wrapped in a crazy colour? Rice.
I think the car community has the same problem as any other. The internet, everyone can be who they want to be and do shit without any consequences.
fanboys!
TRIGGERED
My problem is what people think about each others cars and tastes. If you don’t like it, be critical but not rude. It would be really cool to have a conversation, not an argument, with someone that likes completely different cars to me and to learn from each other. Unfortunately this very rarely happens.
Like you said there are some people that just ruin the car scene for other people. Those people might also scare away some people that actually want to get into the community.
The car meme community on instagram (except a few. For example GeoBaz is cool) whenever I go on my explore page I’ll see something like “MUSCLE IS LIFE. GT-R’s ARE RICE BURNERS” and the comments aren’t any better. There will either be fanboys that will be like “A GT-R can beat your Camaro SS any day.” Like chill and just like accept each sub-category in the community. We all have a common opinion here and that’s our live for cars. Why can’t we just respect each other instead of mindlessly hating. Yeah I may not like that Neon green C10 but I sure as hell respect the owner for doing everything he did to it to make that C10 run mid 8’s in the quarter mile.
People being too bent on something. When you have an open mind you enjoy things much more. Some people hate some cars and judge or hate you as a person before they know you or the car and how great it is
