Alright Teku, Let's Roll Out!

The Teku are masters of the pursuit for perfection. Equipped with the mindset of constantly striving to excel at different objectives, they are easily admirable contenders. Not one single action from them is executed without finesse. They have a fierce rivalry with the Metal Maniacs.

Their team consists of:

Vert Wheeler, driver of Power Rage, Nightlife, and Reverb
Kurt Wylde, driver of Sling Shot and Battle Spec
Nolo Pasaro, team leader, driver of Synkro, High Voltage, and Spectyte
Karma Eiss, driver of Chicane
Shirako Takamoto, driver of Bassline and Nightlife
Tone Pasaro, former team leader (deceased), driver of Synkro

Power Rage

In the Accleracers series, this car was driven by the Teku’s Vert Wheeler, until it was destroyed in the Water Realm. Power Rage has HID headlamps, and LED rear lights. The car has a carbon fiber body on coilovers and a aluminum chassis. Like all Teku cars, it has scissor doors and underglow neon. There are 2 speakers, 2 tweeters, and 3 subwoofers, 3 gauges on the passenger side which show boost, NO2, and fuel levels. The tachometer and speedometer are mounted on the driver’s side. Power Rage is powered by a turbocharged 2.8 liter 4 cylinder with an intercooler generating 410 HP. The exhaust pipes exit out the side. The top grille creates a vaccum for the hood intercooler outlet. There are also front and rear brake outlets for the 6-piston all carbon fiber antilock brakes. A stylish angled spoiler provides downforce. There is also an equalizer for the stereo. This car tops at 280 mph and goes from 0-60mph in 3.3 seconds. There are interior neon short shifters and bucket seats.
The car’s tooling was updated in 2016, where the spoiler is now part of the body and is no longer a separate piece.
From the Acceleracers series: After half of Vert’s Deora II was destroyed in the Storm Realm, it was replaced by Power Rage. He took it into the Swamp Realm and barely made it out. It was later taken into the Lava Realm and Water Realm. In the Lava Realm, the tires were overheating, as the cars did not have treads for the tires, at the time. After Monkey took a tire from a Drones car, the tires for the cars were transformed to ATD. However, when Vert reached the Water Realm, he tried to go for the fastest time and didn’t watch the oversteer. As a result, he had to use the newly-installed EDR and Power Rage was destroyed.
Power Rage was a Teku car driven by member Vert Wheeler after his Deora II was totaled in the Storm Realm. It makes several on screen appearances. The first appearance is after the Storm Realm, Vert can be seen working on the car in the garage before the Swamp Realm opens. It is then focused on numerous times in the Swamp Realm. One of the main times it was focused was when Taro latched on to RD-08 with the spear on his car and Vert was forced to use the Jump Jets on the car to avoid crashing into them. Towards the end of the Swamp Realm, Vert is trying to race the Swamp Monsters and traps to the end, but the rear of the car is impaled by a vine, and lifted off the track. Sad News,The car is then wrapped in vines and hovers about 10 feet above the track until RD-L1 smashes the windshield and tries to kill Vert. Power Rage gets more screen time in the Lava Realm, insisting that Vert had re-built the car in between the Swamp Realm and the Lava Realm. He would have to start from scratch as Power Rage was abandoned in the Swamp Realm, as Vert escaped riding with Shirako in Bassline through the portal. The screen time Power Rage gets in the Lava Realm is when Taro falls off the track and Vert catches him with the cars grappling hook. Taro’s car is overturned back onto the track when a drone car crashes into a lava rock nearby. This is not confirmed, but it is most likely that since Rivited was overturned when it landed on the track, it would be most sensible that Taro rode with Vert for the remainder of the Lava Realm. The last time Power Rage gets screen time was in the Water Realm. It is focused on through the majority of the realm. When the track splits, Vert is the only driver NOT to head towards the surface, insisting that he might get lucky. His luck paid off and he finds a hyperpod. He gets in the hyperpod and gets a speed boost all the way up to the surface, where he then rapidly hydroplanes on the surface of the water. He gets over-excited when he says he can “see the portal” and accelerates before going into a turn with water on the track. Accelerating on a hydroplane resulted in him to lose control of his car, and it flew off the track. The car smashed into a coral rock just above the water surface, and exploded on impact. Vert luckily used the E.D.R before he had gotten hurt/killed. This is the last time Power Rage is seen and used. When Vert returns to the Acceledrome, he begins driving Reverb. It appears in 3 realms: Swamp, Lava & Water

Designed by Eric Tscherne, Power Rage was introduced in the AcceleRacers series. Serving as Vert Wheeler’s choice of vehicle, the car debuts prior to the race in the Swamp Realm. The vehicle is initially armed with Jump Jets and a grappling hook. Over the course of the series, the vehicle is gradually equipped with Nitrox 2 and adaptive tire technology. Power Rage is among the AcceleRacers vehicles rebuilt in entirety to match its previous appearance prior to destruction. The car was destroyed during the Swamp Realm, rebuilt before the Lava Realm, and then destroyed in The Speed of Silence. Post-AcceleRacers era, Power Rage has made various appearances in different Hot Wheels media.

Bassline

The Bassline is a Hot Wheels Original casting and is pronounced “BASE-LINE”. It was designed by GM Designer and former classmate of Eric Tscherne, Blake Allen. Bassline is one of the only trucks in Acceleracers. Bassline was driven by Shirako Takamoto in Acceleracers, and was Shirako’s only car. This bass generator has a custom carbon fiber body with wide fenders, an air pressure spoiler, front brake outlets for the 4 cylinder caliper 14” slotted rotors on coilovered double wishbone on an aluminum chassis exoskeleton. The car is powered by a fuel-injected 6.0 Litre V10 front engine with performance headers and dual rear exaust, driven by a 7 speed automatic transmission with a 2 way differential. Low profile tires give good drifting characteristics. In the back there are 4 subwoofers, 2 tweeters and 3 additional speakers in the cockpit, capable of producing 700 decibels of 192 bit sound. This car has scissor doors, wireless internet connection and in the interior is a 6.2” monitor, and underglow neon. It tops at 281 mph. Note that the vehicle in the Acceleracers movie is a right-hand drive vehicle.

Bassline is a sweet ride. Built to sound cool, look cool, and drive fast. Bassline is Shirako’s signature vehicle. It was first destroyed in the Cliffside Realm when it was pushed off the track by Kurt Wylde to stop Shirako from using his damaged Nitrox 2 booster, which would have caused the car to explode. However, it was rebuilt, and then used in the Junk Realm. Later it was used in the Cosmic Realm where one of its speakers was torn out by a Sweeper Drone before it was taken in by the controlled Sweeper in order to take it into the Drones’ Headquarters to save Wylde. During the rescue, Bassline was overturned by the gunfire of a Drone jet, causing Shirako to abandon it there and “Piggyback” on Porkchops’ E.D.R. with Monkey to leave. It enters the Swamp Realm, Cavern Realm, Water Realm, Cliffside Realm, Junk Realm & Cosmic Realm.

Chicane

The Chicane first appeared in AcceleRacers driven by Karma Eiss. The carbon fiber body is built apon a magnesium chassis with foamed frame, coilovers made a high stability allowing Chicane to be able to drive easily through chicanes (a chicane is a notch in a straightaway). This gave Chicane its name. This car is a Teku car with underglow neon. Unlike most AcceleRacers, this car and Bassline have LEDs. This car is very rare, compared to other AcceleRacers cars. This car has similarities with the RD-09 car Gelorum seen from design front.

Engine: Mid-Engine 6.5 Litre DOHC.

Power: 400HP

Top Speed: 278 MPH

0-60: 3.8 Seconds.

Chicane was a car driven by Teku driver Karma Eiss. It was her only car and she used it from the Storm Realm all the way up to the end of the Ultimate Race, where she abandoned it in the Racing Drones HQ in the attempt to save Wylde. It is used in the Storm, Cavern, Metro, Ice, Neon Pipeline, Ruins & Cosmic Realms.

Designed by Jun Imai, Chicane was introduced in the AcceleRacers series. Serving as Karma Eiss’s only vehicle for the entire series, the car debuts when the Teku check on the aftermath of Wylde’s streetrace intervention in Ignition. Over the course of the series, the vehicle is gradually equipped with Nitrox 2, adaptive tire technology, and Jump Jets. Chicane endures window damage on two occasions, but the entire car is never replaced. Chicane is among the final vehicles leading the charge on the Racing Drones headquarters and is consequently abandoned in Drone City. Post-AcceleRacers era, Chicane has made various appearances in different Hot Wheels media.

High Voltage

High Voltage has fully adjustable coil over suspension and an aluminum chassis and carbon ceramic 6 piston brakes. The powerhouse is a 382HP compact single turbo rotary engine protected by a carbon fiber body. In Acceleracers, Nolo drove the car in Speed of Silence to test the abilities of both High Voltage and the Swamp Realm Accelercharger. Unfortunately High Voltage was totaled by the over usage of the Accelercharger to the point that the wheels fell off while Nolo was driving it, leaving him with Synkro for the Metro Realm.

High Voltage is a car that was driven by Nolo. High Voltage has fully adjustable coilover suspension an aluminium chassis and carbon ceramic 6 piston brakes. The powerhouse is a 382HP compact single turbo single rotor rotory engine protected by a carbon fiber body. In Acceleracers Nolo drove the car in Speed of Silence to test the abilities of both High Voltage and the Swamp Realm accelercharger. Unfortunally, High Voltage was hurt by overuse of the accelercharger to the point that the wheels fell off while Nolo was driving it, and the car flew off a cliff. Luckily, Nolo and the accelecharger were unharmed. This left him with Synkro for the Metro Realm.

Designed by Jun Imai, High Voltage was introduced in the AcceleRacers series. Serving as Nolo Pasaro’s choice of vehicle, the car debuts on a test track within the Acceledrome. It is used in a track run to determine the capabilities of the Swamp Realm Accelecharger. Though the Accelecharger works flawlessly, leaving the Accelecharger equipped on High Voltage overexerts its stability, and Nolo abandons the car as it careens into the ravine. Post AcceleRacers-era, High Voltage has made various appearances in different Hot Wheels media.

All animated appearances opt for a navy blue body color, whereas all forms of merchandising represent the car in black. There is an inconsistency with the vehicle statistics, as the concept and animation depicts a smaller front wheelbase and bigger rear wheelbase, whereas the statistics mention uniform 19” wheels.

Stats:

382 HP
Aluminum chassis with carbon fiber body
Single turbo rotary engine
19" front and back wheels

Drift Tech

This car was not seen in any AcceleRacers movie. This car has a transverse four cylinder turbocharged engine there is a drive by wire steering and carbon fiber body on coil overs and aluminum chassis 20’’ wheels. This car is a mix of various Teku cars, such as having the basic design similar to that of Power Rage, and having the roof airscoop of SpecTyte. In 2015, there was a minor change to the casting; the spoiler is no longer a separate piece.

This car was not seen in any AcceleRacers movie because this car and Power Bomb were originally in AcceleRacers. This car was created, like Reverb by all the Teku this time to search for Vert Wheeler. This car has a transverse four cylinder turbocharged engine there is a drive by wire steering and carbon fiber body on coil overs and aluminum chassis 20 wheels. This car is a mix of all the Teku cars

Designed by Eric Tscherne, Drift Tech was introduced in the AcceleRacers series. Though the vehicle has never made an official animated appearance, it enjoyed appearances in AcceleRacers merchandise such as the Collectible Card Game. Post-AcceleRacers era, Drift Tech has made various appearances in different Hot Wheels media.

Stats:

400 HP
Drive-by-wire synchronization
Transverse twin engine
22" front and back wheels

Synkro

Synkro is a Hot Wheels original design. This car was driven by Nolo Pasaro (and formerly by Tone Pasaro) in Acceleracers. It was
destroyed when Nolo’s brother, Tone crashed. After it was rebuilt, it was dismantled by a Sweeper and RD-02 in the Metro Realm. Like any Teku car, Synkro has HID headlamps, speakers, and glossy, metal-flaked paint. This car has 3 sub woofers and 3 tweeters. Synkro has a 500hp fuel injected twin turbocharged rotary engine with BOV valves with an intercooler pushing 620ft/lb of torque to the 7 speed transmission which is syncronized in a straight line (Nolo shifted up by pushing the shifter forward and down-shifted by pulling the shifter backwards) this is what gave Synkro it’s name. The 7-speed transmission and engine is what gives gives Synkro a top speed of 273 mph in 10.3 seconds. The oil filter and turbo is shown above the hood. The cockpit has a computer on the dashboard. This car has a carbon fiber body with coilovers and an aluminum monocoque chassis with 20” wheels hooked with carbon ceramic 19” ABS brakes with 8 piston calipers, allowing Synkro to stop on a dime. Like all Teku cars, this car has blue colored underglow neon. The car has 35 series rubber tires. The stereo sends 128 bit sound quality. Synkro’s body resembles a cross between the Nissan Silvia, Mitsubishi Eclipse and Hyundai Tiburon, while the interior is directly inspired by the Nissan

SpecTyte

SpecTyte’s design was originally begun by Tscherne. Jones completed the vehicle after Tscherne left the
company. Much of the Teku vehicle graphics and logo / team design elements were designed by Jerry Thienprasidi. In the AcceleRacers series, SpecTyte was driven by Teku’s Nolo Pasaro after Synkro was dismantled in the Metro realm. The car tops at 263 mph with its fuel cell powered 430hp fuel cell powered V6 engine, augmented by a 48V electric motor. It can also use a momentary 1000HP boost for extreme situations. This car has a carbon fiber monocoque with a blue neon underglow. The exhaust pipes exit out the sides of the car, with intakes at the top. Tweeters are mounted in side pods, which are usually on f1 cars for added fuel space and aerodynamic efficiency. There is also a subwoofer in the two-seater cockpit. It has Nitrox-2 (NO2) boosters. The casting for the SpecTyte was updated in the later half of 2016, where the spoiler of the SpecTyte was no longer a separate piece and is now part of the body.

SpecTyte was Nolo Pasaro’s car after he lost Synkro to a Sweeper in the Metro Realm.

SpecTyte appears to be based off of a convertible sports car. It made its first debut in Breaking Point, appearing in the Neon Pipeline Realm. It later appeared in the Ruins Realm, where it escorted Vert Wheeler to the end of the realm after he crashed Nightlife. It then returned in The Ultimate Race for the Cosmic Realm. SpecTyte was abandoned when the human drivers all used the E.D.R in the Racing Drones HQ.

Due to the aforementioned electric motor augmenting the V6. The SpecTyte is a hybrid of the Teku cars.

Reverb

In the AcceleRacers series, Reverb was driven by the Teku’s Vert Wheeler. This car resembles the Saleen S7 and Enzo Ferrari. It is aerodynamically flat like Battle Spec. The front of the car has stability inlets and outlets. The vents on the hood outlets the inter-cooler to cool the 1100HP 7 liter beryllium DOHC performance cam V12 with headers mid mounted engine on an carbon fiber 7 speed
Reverb

transmission. The carbon fiber body has air outlets near the ram air intake for the transmission. On the side there are air intakes for the 12 cylinder all carbon fiber caliper cross drilled and slotted 20” antilock brakes.20” front/22” rear wheels. The cockpit has a G force computer and stereo with a sub-woofer and two speakers. Bucket seats with 5 point harness, short shifter, interior neon, underglow neon and scissor doors. The car has carbon fiber wheels and double wishbone suspension. It is considered one of the fastest car in AcceleRacers.

Reverb is a Teku car that is driven by member Vert Wheeler, after Power Rage is totaled. It makes it’s first on-screen appearance in Breaking Point, where the lift lowers it to the ground in the Acceledrome so Vert can use it in the Junk Realm. Aside from the fact Reverb was hit with an EMP burst by Accelium, Vert still gets the car out in one piece. The car was then seen again through the Ultimate Race through the racing realms against Gelorum. After all of the realms have been completed again, Reverb was then in The Sphere racing Gelorum to the Acceleron Portal. Vert smashes Reverb into RD-09, and both cars get thrusted into the air. Reverb lands upside down and Vert is forced to climb out of the car. After the fight with Gelorum, Vert takes the Accelechargers and prepares to head back to the Acceledome to help his teammates, the Acceleron gives Vert the Wisdom Ring and flips Reverb rightside up for Vert and makes a portal for him to get back to the Acceledrome faster with, anticipating the chance to finally race Vert. Once Vert is back into the Acceledrome, he uses Reverb and the Accelechargers to help fight off the remainder of the drones while the other humans hijack a Drone Sweeper to escape the Acceledrome, which is about to be blown up by Gig detonating all of the Nitrox 2 fuel in the compound. Vert shoots for the portal, telling Sparky that he has no idea where it is taking them, and make it through a second before Gig destroyed the compound. They hit the portal and Reverb comes through the portal in the Silencerz HQ. Vert was grabbed by Silencerz and tells Sparky to use the E.D.R. to get help from the others before Vert is pulled out and knocked unconscious. Reverb was last seen in the Silencerz HQ along with Vert, the Wheel of Power, the Accelechargers and the Wisdom Ring. It is unknown what becomes of the car afterwards.

Sling Shot

This car made its first animation debut when it was driven by Kurt Wylde, leader of the street breeds. 2 years after the world race, Dr. Tezla called him up with other former drivers and new faces for the Accelerealms. Sling Shot was destroyed in the Storm Realm when it hit a stationary drone car, flipped and lost a wheel.

Engine: Mid-mounted F1 V12 and 48 valves.

Power: 900HP

Top speed: 291 MPH

Other information: 7 FWD gears and 2 Reverse gears. Grappling hook and spy viewer.

Sling Shot was a car driven by Kurt Wylde in Acceleracers Ignition. It was Kurt’s from World Race and was repainted in Teku colors. It was driven in the beginning of Ignition and was later destroyed at the end of the Storm Realm, when it hit a drone car, flipped over, lost a wheel, and shattered the windshield. With only a few minutes to go in the realm, Kurt had to abandon Sling Shot in the realm.

No Teku Form of Sling Shot was released as it only came in World Race variations. The Die-Cast Versions had World Race Graphics with Hot Rod Wheels with a Green Trim (2003), a Gold Form was made with World Race Graphics except the black underbody and wheels were now gold. The Zed-36 Variation only came in the RLC Complete 35 Set and it had a Black Body with Green Windows and a green wheel trim. The RLC ZAMAC Version had a chrome body with A green wheel trim.
