It won’t be legalized. Ever. Why? Because emissions… If you get the emissions standards lowered, then it’d be legal.

After 25 years, the cars are smog exempt, so it’s all good. Or you can do what motorex was SUPPOSED to do and add more catalytic converters.

I read that the R34 is legal in the US as a show car and you can only put 1200 miles on it a year. Not sure, but just putting it out there.

Nope for a car to be imported under show/display car has to be a historic significants and car has to no longer be in production and have less then 400-500 examples made. Seeing that most r34s aren’t unless it’s the mine tuned one(which are in the 6 digits) you can’t import one”legally”
