Doug Demuro ought to review one of these - the quirks are endless!
Oh pls no, each time he reviews something, that thing gets all hyped and prices get higher. It’s better if he sticks to just high-end cars and let forgotten cars being forgotten.
If I had a chance i’d Waste a lot of money just to make an AWD conversion…
To people who say it’s slow or boring or fwd:
Look at the current Mitsubishi line up. Now thats slow and boring. The FTO is not.
Tbh i come from a place where a 138bhp 1.0l Civic is considered a monster. It’s a matter of perspective
Just saw it a couple of weeks ago at a car meet
I actually have one of these!
Insurance for me at age 20 was 1.2k?? Fuel cost was worse for me! On this engine I would get mid teens for the MPG…
Absolutely creased about the alternator, mine went too… Though calling it that slow isn’t too fair! It’s no rocket, for sure, don’t get me wrong… But if you kept her high enough in the revs she was far from a slouch either, and great fun to chuck into corners, thoroughly unreasonable ability to stick to the road like glue, love every minute of driving it! Would 100% recommend, best £650 I’ve ever spent
The FTO (2.0 non mivec with 4spd tip) used to be a daily but that role was taken by an E46 330i and the FTO would 100% have left it on a twisty course.

I never forget it, thanks to Gran Turismo!
But FWD

I love it so much. Such a nice design IMO.
It’s a cool car, even if it’s not good.
