Let me first introduce myself, I’m a 25 years old mechanical engineer, born in Monaco but now leaving in Sochaux. It’s kind of the french Detroit, but french, and with cow and fields around. Not the nicest place to live, but at least I’m consulting for PSA groupe and develop the new automatics transmission there which is nice. I’ve owned several Honda, my last daily being a nice 2000 Accord Coupé 3.0i V6. I’ve owned it for three years, and I think, spent more time under the hood than driving it.

Monaco, Formula one, the Rally, the Top marque, its yachts, the nice pictures in the magazines of guys in Ferrari wearing Rolex, forget all that, they lied to you. Monaco in reality is more like awful trafic in streets goings uphill that will burn your clutch, roadworks all the time everywhere, loads of tourist and cops in Renault Scenic trying to run over you. This is in fact the petrolhead nightmare. You’ll think whatever, I’ll take a pic of my car like that F1 driver on twitter, well, it’s at your own risk !

Hi guy’s, This is my first DIY post on CT and hope to make some more and of a better quality. This one is about a quite common problem with the cheap fake leather interior made by Honda. The drivers seat gets torn where the belt touches.

This was the second car I bought. Well not really bought because it was given to me. Somebody on the Prelude Club board wanted to get rid of it as the automatic gearbox was shifting erraticaly. I’ve jumped first on the opportunity. It was quite a bet as I didn’t know exactly what the problem was with the gearbox and I had never rebuilt one. It was the perfect opportunity to show my skills as most people said that was impossible.

That Prelude was my first “built” car. It comes from the UK and was in a really bad conditions. I have spend a lot of time on it, treating the rust, changing all the bushings for energy polyurethane one, the ball joints etc. I fitted it with Bilstein B8 suspension and eibach springs. It was quite an adventure to find them new as Bilstein discontinued it for the Prelude. I had also a lot of work on the engine. The car had 6 former owner, and wasn’t well treated.
