Not every show car is a race car, but every race car is a show car

Had a blast at Waterfest this weekend. We finally get the car ready enough to hit the drag strip. The car did 10.981 sec at 128 mph while it was 93F (33C) outside. We did not run the meth/water injection system either so there’s room for improvement for sure. The car was also launching with no boost due to the restriction of the current ECU flash that the car is running. A revised version of the flash is under development, so the car at be launched at 10-15 psi.

Love those wiggins clamps in terms of the the durability and quality, wish the time it takes to get them is shorter though. Custom fitted inconel heat shield done by Turbosource, looks stunning and further reduce engine bay temperature on top of the ceramic coating. This is how the components sit in the engine bay. The wastegate is also getting shielded as it is right below the boost pipe.

I had the chance to check on the car today. And right now the shop is waiting for the Tial QRJ recirc valve to show up so the boost pipes can be finished. Ordered 2 more 4in wiggins clamps for the MAF and compressor inlet. Passenger’s side intercooler piping and transmission oil cooler. Driver’s side intercooler piping and engine oil cooler. The thunderbunny bumper feels like it is made for this boost setup. The extra clearance inside the bumper really helped a lot when the oil coolers and boost pipes were being fitted onto the car.
