1994 was a season McLaren would really love to forget and throw away to the dustbin. The MP4/9 was a serious disappointment from a French Disconnection with the Peugeot engines proved to be fast and reasonably competitive. When they worked, that is. Problem was, the French engines were never really reliable, making the 1994 season a very broken down season for the British constructor.

So…after about 9-10 mon-I mean, years of not writing blogposts due to being busy, and the fact that user activity has dropped in CarThrottle, thus dropping my motivation on writing for fun, I decided to go back to my old self from late 2015. But, I don’t have cars to review or researched lists to be made so, I decided to do a small little quicklist writeup about the two things I really like in my life: motorsport and tobacco.

Finally got my first ever supercar. Yes, to me this is a supercar. Had lots of mad fun in my first couple of days of ownership. Mods: Arrow Stage 2 heads and cams, ARH exhaust

Car spotting is rather “controversial” in my family. My nephew is banned from car spotting because his parents say that taking pictures of someone’s property without the owner’s permission is wrong. Personally, I don’t know which side I’m in, I do car spotting sometimes but not taking pictures of it (memory space, bro). Car spotters don’t ask owner’s permission as far as I know, but yes, taking pictures of someone’s property could be very wrong. Now, my question is: “Do you think taking pictures of someone’s car without the owner’s permission is bad? Why?”

I was never really a bike guy. I never had a bike before. When I was a student in Indonesia, I use a car or sometimes a public transport, in Australia (college), I had a Subaru RS. In my entire life, I’ve only ridden a bike around 5 times on a public road, the rest is probably on a track. In all honesty, I had a trauma of riding bikes and that was because I fell off a Harley (don’t know what kind). But that all changed around 2 days ago when I finally bought my first very own bike, a BMW S1000R.

Courtesy of my friend at Niello BMW, yesterday, I get the chance to spend 10 hours with a BMW M3 Sport Evo. It was the best 10 hours that I’ve ever spent in my sub-30 years of living.

Really, Tony? The baddest hot hatch that you've ever driven is this? You haven't driven many cars, have you? Well, Golf R, yes; BMW 130i, yes; Honda Jazz (Fit) RS, yes; Toyota Yaris TRD, yes, and many other hatchbacks and I will admit they’re TONS of fun and that’s one of the main reason why we all love hatchbacks: they’re fun. But here’s the thing, they’re a couple of grand more expensive compared to the 182 and they don’t have the flair and the childish character of the Clio 182.

We all know that America is a stupid country when it comes to vehicle laws, most recently, we heard that the EPA is planning to ban vehicle modifications. Not only that, you can’t import a non-US spec car unless they’re 25 years old or more thanks to Mercedes-Benz USA. I really want to move to somewhere like UK just because of the fact that I don’t have to wait a quarter of a century to legally import a car.

There are more people talking about the BMW G11/G12’s key than the people talking about the whole car itself. The 2016 7er key is literally the #1 thing that people talks about. Smart Kidney Grilles? A body with carbon fiber structure? Adaptive driving modes? Anti-roll bar that adapts electrically? 4-wheel steering? Yeah, yeah, I get it, I know, they’re brilliant. But, seriously, though, LOOK AT THAT KEY

We’ve all seen Darren Cassey’s post about track day cars on any budget and I must say, it’s a very good article for CTzens in the UK/EU. But, here’s the thing; those are for the UK/EU CTzens, how about us in the USA? We all know that there are some cars that aren’t available in the USA. Look no further, I’m here to help you with this article!

I waved goodbye to Elena, now I say hello to Ellie Goulding, my new (used) Evo X. I’ve owned her for about a day now and I absolutely love her. Now, some of you may wonder, “Why did he get this? Why did he picked this over a Charger or an E60, a 7 series, everything”, well, read on..

With its iconic RB26 twin turbo 6 cylinder engine, the R32 GTR is a car with an unmistakable sound and an unmistakable looks. The car is now legal to import to the USA so, I decided to join the Skyline hype. Is it overhyped? Is it Overhyped? The R32 was originally made for touring car racing. In a Japanese touring car championship, the Skyline was so successful in the late 1980s the series was disbanded. Nobody could get close to the Nissans or stop them from winning every one of the last season’s 29 races.

I’m currently spending holidays in my hometown (for those of you who don’t know, I’m from Indonesia and I live and work in California) and I really like it here as a normal human being . You have lots of destinations (Sumatra and Jogjakarta are one of the best ones, Bali is a bit dirty for me), (local) foods are absolutely cheap (you can buy porridge for less than 1 USD), and many, many things. But, as a car enthusiast, Indonesia is probably not where you want to be. And here are some of the reasons why.

Here’s my continuation of the CSL 29 Years special article. This time, we’re taking a look at the BMW M5 E39 and comparing it to the E46. #Blogpost Click here to read the previous article

When it comes to high performance cars, BMW M has been dominating for years. I’ve been a huge fan of them and that’s why I chose both the E39 M5 and the BMW M3 E46 ZCP as my daily drivers. So, they’re both practical and they’re both capable of being daily driven, and that could lead to a confusion. So, which one’s better? Well, I’m here to tell you. Let’s kick off with the E46 M3. I will write a reversed version of this article soon

Hey, CT! Tomorrow’s my 29th birthday and to celebrate it, I want to make a review on my 2005 M3 ZCP (Competition Package). Let’s get started!

The E39 M5 is probably the best M5 ever. It has a naturally aspirated 4.9 liter V8 that produces 400 hp and combine that with 4 doors, a Getrag 6 speed manual, and a rear wheel drive shaft, you’ll have a perfect car for both daily driving and track days, and now you can get them for around $25,000 so it’s pretty damn affordable to most of us. However, as an owner of an E39 M5, I would like to tell you that it’s not a great car to actually own..
