Gloss black Ford Racing Performance Parts 17” × 7” rims and ultra high performance tires off of the #Focus, looking fresh and black again. After cleaning and drying them, I also pick all of the stones and whatever other debris out of the treads. That’s more work than it sounds, but worth it to keep the treads clear for water and the weight off to keep from becoming imbalanced. Still have to polish and wax the rims, as well as gel the tires. That’ll wait until closer to Spring though, otherwise the rims will lose their shine.

I’ve already met the factory speed limiter before with this vehicle, but decided to make a video of wringing the Hemi out. I’m not 100% happy with the way the video turned out, so I’ll be redoing it at some later point with both a better launch and a better video camera setup. Lots of V8 noise, though. If you like this video, check out my other recent video uploads on YouTube featuring the RT. Have a cold start, 0-100 on launch control, and more. Channel: MichaelRTJ

Some of you may remember the LED license plate lights that I installed in the #Focus in 2016, of which can be found here . This review is on a 2006 Cadillac CTS, a friend’s daily driver. This is the start to a full LED conversion that is planned for the CTS. The lights are 6,000K ultra white, and are also a good bit brighter than the stock oem incandescent bulbs all while taking up one fifth of the wattage.

If you have to do front brakes on a Ford Escape, Mazda Tribute, or Mercury Mariner you’re almost guaranteed to be missing a rather rare tool. The tool in question is a nine millimeter allen key.

I’m still trying to figure out someway to upgrade the electronic throttle body on my 2009 Ford Focus 2.0. I’ve messed with the gears inside of it, and it killed the Focus a while back. That post is here . I had to wind up replacing the throttle body.

It’s no secret that many American cars that came from the ‘70s were oversized, not to mention overweight. Worse yet, after the oil crisis in 1973 many of these land yachts were severely underpowered. However, they truly earned their “boat” nicknames with long lengths, heavy body on frame designs, and soft suspension. This all added up to giving one of the smoothest rides possible.

2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 are the only years that #Ford has ever offered the Focus as a coupe, and even then only In North America. I realized that I haven’t seen more than a couple on CT so far. It’d be cool to see, as they are something of a rarity. Bonus points if it’s an SES / Sport, but I’d be cool with an S, SE or SEL.

Step One: Masking Ensure that your vehicle is clean and dry, parked in the shade so that it is cool to the touch. Mask the area around the emblem(s) that you are changing the colour of, to prevent over spray. Make sure to leave approximately one inch of exposed paint around the area to help with later steps.

Another day, another LED upgrade. This time I’m upgrading my short lived 54,000 lumen LED light bar to a 65,000 lumen LED light bar. It is essentially the same brand and length of bar, with upgraded LED chips. For those of you interested in my original 54,000 Lumen 23” #LED Light Bar Review , follow the link.

Now that I’ve had the light bar installed for over a week, I’ve had plenty of time to adjust it and get used to it. What do I think of it? I think that it’s amazingly bright, and even puts my 30,000+ lumens of headlights and driving lights to shame. But don’t just take my word for it, there are plenty of photos below to help you reach your own conclusions.

Another day, another set of LEDs upgraded. For those of you with a good memory, this is my fourth set of driving light bulbs. Some of you may ask if the others didn’t work properly, or if they simply were not bright enough. The answer is neither; Like wanting to eat the last slice of pizza when you’re already full, there’s always room to cram more goodies in. You can find my original reviews linked below for comparison, with the new review under the original two.

To preface this #BlogPost style review which will mainly be dealing with my most recent upgrade from 10,000 lumen LED headlights to 16,000 lumen LED headlights, I’m going to link my previous review. It was a comparison strictly between the Silverstar Ultras and 10,000 lumen LED headlights. [Silverstar Ultras vs 10,000 lumen LED headlights] ( https://www.carthrottle.com/post/a5oy44x/ )

An actual photo of the car from the movie, from the Hollywood red carpet premiere. Would have been a 1978 with T tops. In the same colours as Peter Quill / Star - Lord’s spaceship, the Milano.

Probably my favourite movie scene involving a Ford Mustang, from one of my favourite movies. Full of V8 growl and supercharger whine.

After too long of a wait, I have recieved my LED bulbs for my front dome / map lights. These bulbs are angled towards the rear of the car, to provide illumination for the rear seats as well. There is no rear dome light on my Focus, due to the sunroof being in the way.

Ever wonder how the cars from the very first Fast & Furious movie from 2001 would look if the movie was released in 2017? Wonder no more, as CarKeys.co.uk has had renders made to show off early 2000’s styling on the modern counterparts of some of the most iconic vehicles from the movie that kicked off the seventh largest movie franchise ever.

If you’ve been considering upgrading any bulbs on your own vehicle, or just like the idea of bright lights and the ability to see at night, this post is is for you. This is the culmination of roughly a year worth of upgrading dozens of different bulbs on the exterior of my daily to LED. This post will show stock versus the upgraded LEDs, and sometimes LEDs versus even better LEDs. I’ll also be giving costs, lumens output versus stock, and a lumens/dollar ratio. Lumens per dollar will be short formed to LPD, and any costs will be in Canadian dollars.

In honour of their recent win in the Rolex 24 Hour at Daytona, Ford Performance has unveiled a special model of the Ford GT dubbed the Competition Series. This model will further shed weight and lower the center of gravity compared to the base model GT.

The gigantic front tires on the upcoming Demon will not be driven, but rather just for steering. The Demon will be rear wheel drive, much to the relief of many muscle car enthusiasts. This still leaves the wonder of what the major changes will be when compared to the Hellcat. Known information currently shows a stripped down interior with a single seat, a widebody, and the ultra wide drag radials as the largest changes. Power will be increased, but by a currently unknown amount over the Hellcat.

Typical popup headlights shown as well.

Turns out that I’m back at it again. I finally finished upgrading all of my exterior incandescent and halogen bulbs to LED, so where can I upgrade from there? Well, all the bulbs that I put in, with the exception of the headlights, were SMD (surface mounted device) type LED bulbs. There’s a new LED bulb type now coming out for certain automotive applications called a COB (circuit on board). These new COB bulbs are better in every way than a typical SMD LED. They have higher lumens output per watt, run cooler, last longer, and more.
