#Ford breaks Guinness World Record for largest flag towed; Takes record back from Chevy
Ford managed to haul a 4,124 square foot (45’×92’) flag behind a 2017 Ford F-450 during Ford Championship weekend earlier last month. The F-450’s turbo diesel 6.7L Power Stroke engine, producing 925 foot pounds of torque is what enabled the record to be achieved.

The F-450’s turbo diesel 6.7L Power Stroke engine, producing 925 foot pounds of torque is what enabled the record to be achieved. Not only was it a larger flag than Chevrolet’s previous record (40’×80’), but it was also driven a further distance.
The 2017 Ford Super Duty is also the 2017 Motor Trend truck of the year, so it’s only suiting that it should break a record before 2017 actually arrives. The qualifications for this record is that the flag must have a larger square footage than the last record, as well as traveling a farther distance than the previous record, all without never having the flag touch the ground.

That’d be pretty sweet. ^_^
Most American thing ever.
A convoy of full size American pickup trucks pulling a gigantic American flag? Yup. LoL
It’s confirmed. Most American thing ever.
this makes me proud af to be an american
As it should. Not many trucks could do this, if any other than the new Super Duty.
How did they do it without the flag touching the ground?
‘Merica
They had twenty people hold the flag while it was rolled up, and the driver slowly sped up as the flag was unfurled by the others. Pretty coordinated approach.
In America, if a flag is about to touch the ground, a bald eagle comes and holds it off the ground
Ford ftw
Best in class torque ftw. LoL
What an american record
LoL, I thought so.
Time for Dodge to step up to the plate…
For sure. Always cool to see manufacturers constantly upping one another.
