The F-450’s turbo diesel 6.7L Power Stroke engine, producing 925 foot pounds of torque is what enabled the record to be achieved. Not only was it a larger flag than Chevrolet’s previous record (40’×80’), but it was also driven a further distance.

The 2017 Ford Super Duty is also the 2017 Motor Trend truck of the year, so it’s only suiting that it should break a record before 2017 actually arrives. The qualifications for this record is that the flag must have a larger square footage than the last record, as well as traveling a farther distance than the previous record, all without never having the flag touch the ground.

As it should. Not many trucks could do this, if any other than the new Super Duty.

They had twenty people hold the flag while it was rolled up, and the driver slowly sped up as the flag was unfurled by the others. Pretty coordinated approach.

In America, if a flag is about to touch the ground, a bald eagle comes and holds it off the ground
