We started our journey in Australia’s largest city, the bustling metropolis of Sydney. Having flown in from interstate on an early morning flight, the team was eager to get going quickly to make the most of the trip, and our car of choice was Holden’s final generation of Commodore. Built by Opel in Germany and carrying the iconic Aussie nameplate, we picked up the RS liftback variant, powered by a General Motors 3.6L High Feature V6 engine mated to a 9-speed all-wheel drive transmission.

A 12 car train carrying 120 brand new BMW cars derailed in the U.S. state of South Carolina, near the state capital of Colombia, whilst on their way from the BMW factory in Greer, South Carolina to Charleston. Luckily, no one was injured in the accident, but the same can’t be said for those poor BMW’s. 97 of the cars were damaged in the derailment. A very sad sight to see all of the new BMW’s wasted in such an accident.

Today is a sad day. Chassis #107 Koenigsegg One:1 (Carbon Edition) has unfortunately crashed at the Nürburgring today whilst trying to set a lap record. The $3.8 million dollar mega-car, one of only eight ever made, was trying to beat the previous record of a seemingly impossible 6:57.00 set by a Porsche 918 Spyder back in 2013, when the day became a lot more expensive for Koenigsegg Automotive AB than they originally planned…

McLaren has decided that their P1 is too good to discontinue, so yep, following the footsteps of the legendary F1 LM, here comes the McLaren P1 LM. First off, how rare will this car be? We can get an insight into this from the F1 LM’s price. ‘Cheap’ is all we can say about the price… Last year, an F1 LM sold at an auction for just $13.75 million. Not a big deal… Yes, we use sarcasm.

Well this is unfortunate… The rare accident happened to a Porsche 911 GT3 RS at Porsche Center in Amsterdam. The car had just been fitted with the Gulf livery when it went head first into the Oostwetering canal in Amsterdam! Luckily it landed on a slope and not fully in the water. Due to this, the car was very fortunately saved from the scrapyards and no damage was done to the engine, because it is a rear engined car! No one knows exactly what caused the car to drive off the side, but at least we all know it is able to be fixed!

Henry Ford was born in a farm in Dearborn, Michigan, North America on the 30th of July, 1863. When he was young, he always loved technology that was around. He befriended the people who ran the steam engines. And he taught himself how to fix watches. He also used the watch fixing as a guide to learn the principles of designing all sorts of machines. He was a keen leader, and learnt most things by trial and error. In 1879, at the age of 16, he moved out of his family’s farm, to work at an automobile company, which made trains and rail cars in Detroit.
