What car completely changed your perceptions of something?

For me, it was the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 that changed my perception of American cars. I’ve always dismissed ‘Murican cars as, for me, life is more than just a straight line. Corners are where the fun is at.

For me, it was the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 that changed my perception of American cars. I’ve always dismissed ‘Murican cars as, for me, life is more than just a straight line. Corners are where the fun is at. But then the Z/28 came along and even the most biased European had to sit up and take notice. And it even looks stunning, too.

We want to know what car completely changed your opinion about something. Perhaps it was an electric car that converted you from ICE, a manual that made you realise sometimes auto is the answer, or perhaps a manufacturer you hated made something epic. Let us know in the comments and we’ll share the best!

Ante sina ante

The Mind Blowing 2016 Shelby GT350. It really makes me from just an ordinary love to Mustangs, into a huge obsessed of it. It truly outlaps the Z28 ofc, but the main point is, it makes Mustang into something traditional Murican, into a sophisticated Ferrari tasted Murican, with also a taste from the 1965 GT350.I always thought that Muscle is all about straight line, but the 5.2 flatplane crank with 8250 rpm redline, and the magnetic suspension makes me rethink about it. Muscle can be a grand tourer, circuit car, and a drag too! :Dpic: Massingale Photography

Yes it does outshine the previous gen z/28. Don’t compare until the new one is out

All American manufacturers have stepped up their game in the last 4-5 years, but I must say that to my surprise, Ford is the one that I consider has done it better. The GT350 is a perfect example but you can see this in the Fiesta ST and all the way up to the Explorer. Even Lincoln’s are now actually luxury vehicles, not just overpriced Fords.

AMG GTS, the most photogenic car to come out last year imo

I always thought the new German cars (espeically Mercedes) were starting to look boring. And then Mercedes introduced this.

This is just a small example, however the South Korean brands Kia and Hyundai have always been a mediocre car manufacturer. When Hyundai came out with the Genesis 5.0 and the Genesis Coupe I think more people started to take notice of them, the same goes for Kia really stepping up their game in quality and performance with the K900 and Optima SX Turbo.

Ferrari 360CS as it was the first car that ever really made me think about aero. The way it hunkers down and grips the road at triple-figures is something I’d never really experienced in years of driving high-bhp modified cars. There’s a lot to be said for a car that you feel you can throw into a corner at those speeds.
