What car completely changed your perceptions of something?

For me, it was the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 that changed my perception of American cars. I’ve always dismissed ‘Murican cars as, for me, life is more than just a straight line. Corners are where the fun is at.

For me, it was the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 that changed my perception of American cars. I’ve always dismissed ‘Murican cars as, for me, life is more than just a straight line. Corners are where the fun is at. But then the Z/28 came along and even the most biased European had to sit up and take notice. And it even looks stunning, too.

I’ll get a lot of stick for this, but for me, it’s the Ford S-MAX.

It completely changed my perception of MPVs…

Simply put, the S-MAX is a fun family bus. From behind the wheel, you’d think you were driving a Fiesta or Focus. It feels nimble, belying its bulk in a way few MPVs can, yet all this handling prowess doesn’t mean it’s uncomfortable on motorway journeys as the suspension is really nicely set-up.

A bit cliche, but the Japanese car culture in general. I thought I was a muscle car guy through and through, and that all Japanese cars were rice burning fart cans, but some of the builds the Japanese culture has come out with are simply stunning.

911 Turo S. I always believed 911 seemed lacking compared to other similarly priced supercars/sports cars, but damn was I wrong. The Turbo S is somehow obscenely quick while being cheaper than cars which are in its class (or even lower!) I might still pick something like a Huracan 580-2 simply because I feel its more of a supercar in terms of essence, but I started respecting 911s a lot after knowing what one could really do if properly tweaked. It’s amazing what Porsche has done.

Fiat 500 abarth, I always wrote off the 500 as a ugly boring little car then comes along the abarth and it’s crazy banshee exhaust, loads of grip and a personality that embraced it’s looks. Really made me rethink little cars and fiat

hated audi as a brand up until 2010 when i saw the Lemans Audi R18’s, the reliability along with the performance led to me looking into audis and im in love with lots of them.

My dream car for pre-25 is the Audi A5 2 door, hopefully ill be able to get one, they look so slick

I’ll probably catch hell for this buy muscle car guys but my story is simple. When I was young I watched the first F&F and fell in love with Dom’s 1969 Charger my love for older cars and American bigblocks and steel crept into me like the bubonic plague. I tried to learn all I could about muscle cars and their respective engines and such. As I got older I got into older hot rods with flathead v8s and 32 5 windows. But one day I was reading an article about older Japanese cars and I came across this Skyline. I was blown away by this old “Japanese” car I mean it had challenger esque looks but it was so tiny and we’ll cool. I mean after all the only skyline I ever knew was Paul Walkers. Ever since this car I’ve had nothing but respect for all cars because this one bridged the gap for me for my love of Murican cars to older and even current Japanese cars.
