What's the biggest rip-off in the car world?

My worst experience was with a garage who wanted to charge me £50 to read out my check engine light… bought a £3 eBay plug and did it myself…

Synthetic Blend Motor oils, there is no minimal amount of synthetic additives required to have the label on the bottle. The base of the oil is petroleum oil, so you still have to change your oil as often as normal oil but at twice the price.

When my dad tried to buy a Mercedes and they hid the fact that it had a faulty engine and tried to charge my dad for every problem before he had even bought the car. The car never even left the dealer’s workshop as my dad decided not to buy it in the end but they still charged him 1500 pounds for the engine and took his 1500 pound deposit. In my opinion this is awful, we lost 3000 over a car we never even got.
