The guys over at The Fast Lane Car are taking a look at a bunch of cars many think are American, but are actually produced outside of the United States

Where would they “position” BMW’s X (and Z) line-up? They’re made in the USA (Texas, if I’m right), but the parts pretty much all come from Germany. And quite some of the cars, once finished, get shipped back to germany. Are those american cars, then (final assembly), or German (parts, brand)?
That Buick Cascada is sold in Germany too, as an Opel (Vauxhall, Holden, GM). It also has an Opel-drivetrain. But it is strongly disliked over here, with some dealerships having cancelled contracts just to not have to have one in their showroom.
As far as I know Cascada isn’t even american. It isn’t even Buick. It’s Opel. Yes I know that Opel is part of GM, but they are just rebranding Opel cars with different names in the US. And also the Ram cargo van isn’t american (yes they pointed it out). It’s colaboration between Fiat, Citroen and Peugeot. There I sad it. Hate me or not it’s your choice
That is true. Ram Master is Peugeot Boxer / Citroen Jumper and Buick Cascada is originally Opel Cascada.
AND Donald McDonald trump want to build a wall! hahah he is really a
Honda Civic’s are made in Allison Ontario Equinox are made in Ontario Rav 4 made in Ontario and this
I’m just happy that quite a few Ford models are still produced in the US. I’d prefer they were all produced here, but they’re all still american cars. Just more of a grey area for what defines a car’s “nationality”
.
if we end up following the logic
dodge ram is mexican
camaro is canadian
i live 10 mins from the Chrysler plant where they build the charger and hellcat
According to Wikipedia, the U502 gen Ford Explorer is also made in Russia
