20 trophies stolen from Red Bull Racing’s F1 factory in Milton Keynes have been found and recovered from a lake.

Police were called to the team’s base at 1:30am on December 6, after six men used a car to drive through the entrance and take over 60 trophies.

After being spotted by a member of the public at the Horseshoe Lake near Sandhurst, Berkshire, around 20 of the trophies - some of which are damaged - were recovered by a specialist team on Monday. The lake is about 60 miles from Red Bull’s factory.

A statement from Thames Valley Police said:

“Some of the trophies were recovered from Horseshoe Lake near Sandhurst yesterday. We estimate about twenty trophies have been recovered, but we are liaising with Red Bull to establish the exact number, as some of the trophies are damaged.

“We would continue to ask that anyone with any information about the burglary contacts us on 101. Further, if anyone sees a trophy or trophy parts near the area of Horseshoe Lake please contact the Force.”
