Are You More Excited About Cars 3, Or Fate Of The Furious?

There seems to be a recurring theme whenever we say anything about Cars 3: there’s usually at least one person telling us they’re “more excited about this than Fate of the Furious”. Hell, I’ve even seen one or two memes made about it.

It’s an interesting point: they’re the two biggest car films that’ll be released this year, but are very, very different from one another. One’s a long-running franchise that’s given us a film every two or so years, the other is gearing up for only its third (and presumably final) instalment stretched over 11 years. One’s live action and the other’s animated, and technically a kids film, but I know plenty of adults who’ll sure as hell be watching it. Me included.

So, with the first extended trailer for Cars 3 out today (see further up the page), we thought we’d ask you guys: which film are you most excited to see?

How about we take a page from Spiderman and start the F&F franchise over from scratch, but make it “different”?

has anyone else run out of patience for the Fast and Furious franchise. it got ridiculous at about Fast 5 and they are still going. I mean no disrespect to to guys in the movie, but i think they should have just finished 7 when Paul Walker died and then moved on.

This shows how far the Fast and Furious series had fallen from the tree. The first film was (at heart) a heist movie, but it was mainly focused on the cars. The last film was a big heist movie which begrudgingly had a car spin on it.

Synopsis of F&F franchise recently:

An extended family pulls heists and fight to bring down drug cartels and terrorists. And a occasionally a supercar either drives by in the background, jumps off a building, or blows up.

From what I’ve seen from the trailers, Cars 3 is about an old school racecar competing against a modern hybrid racecar….. And F8 is about “high-tech terrorism” It’s easy to guess which a carguy would rather watch

Why not both, can’t really judge until you watch trough both whole movies. Shame they won’t do a prequel to the whole F’nF story, how they started the race wars, 90’s cars with flashy useless aero and neons eh…

Cars 3 since it’s the third installment of the movie, not the 3927462374237th.
