Are You Ready To Play GTA V Online?
UPDATE: Users have confirmed that GTA V online software update is already available on PSN and Xbox Live.
Two weeks after its $800m opening release, the creators of Grand Theft Auto V are, as promised, getting ready to release the online multiplayer patch for game owners today at 12pm GMT or 7am ET.
GTA V players will first need to download a small patch prior to accessing GTA Online, Rockstar has added. Once the patch is downloaded and installed, players will be able to access GTA Online via the Grand Theft Auto V game menu immediately.
So what is there to do? Where do we start? First, as with previous GTA online games, you'll want to start or join a crew for you to wreak havoc with. Then, there are co-op missions and heists allowing you to rob everything from liquor stores to banks to private airport terminals.
As hardcore car fans, you'll probably want to create your own garage with your favourite wheels, before taking them out onto the streets to race for pinkslips. You can even invite e-pals over to your crib to watch in-game television shows and take a peek through your telescope!
As ever with popular online releases like this, be prepared for longer-than-expected bouts of connecting time and game-joining as GTA's servers prepare to be swamped by millions of excited gamers. Rockstar say they're preparing for an onslaught on their servers and that it will take them a week to tune online multiplayer to perfection.
The real question remains; are you ready to spend even more time playing GTA V online on your consoles? As usual, comments below!
