Arsonists Are Burning This Rich Kid's Supercar Fleet To The Ground
When you’re a rich kid flaunting your family’s supercar rental fleet on Instagram, it’s inevitable you’ll have to deal with jealous ‘haters’. For Aleem Iqbal, better known as Lord Aleem, this has been taken to extreme levels, as a group of arsonists have targeted his fleet of exotic vehicles. In one week alone, £500,000 ($850k) worth of cars were destroyed.
On June 6, Iqbal leased a brand new Lamborghini Aventador for a wedding. It was set alight by three hooded men outside a house in Luton, with CCTV footage showing the whole incident unfold. According to The Telegraph, two Audi R8s and a Bentley Flying Spur were also torched the following week.
Lord Aleem told The Telegraph:
“I’m not really in a great state of mind at the moment, I’ve had half a million pounds worth of cars destroyed in the last few days.
“I’m not sure if it’s an attack on my family because they would have come directly after me or my family if that was the case.
“However, I do believe it could be a vile act of jealously towards my business or it could just be mindless vandals on an arson spree.
We spoke to Aleem, and he confirmed that investigations are ongoing. “We’ll catch them soon, it’s looking good. I’m keeping my online updates to a minimum until we catch who did this.” This is far from the end of Lord Aleem’s Instagram activity, as he told us that once this incident is sorted out, he’ll be back bigger than ever.
Aleem’s father owns Platinum Executive Travel, a supercar rental company, which gives the 19-year-old access to some of the most desirable exotics on the market. West Midlands Police reported that it has CCTV footage of both incidents, and an investigation is taking place.
