The Aston Martin And Red Bull Hypercar Now Has An Awesome New Name
Forget the AM-RB 001 name forever, because the group behind the incredible-looking project has chosen a new one - and we think you're going to like it
The Aston Martin and Red Bull hypercar has a fitting name at last: Valkyrie. Aston has just announced it at the Geneva Motor Show.
Previously known as the kinda cold AM-RB 001, the new identity means Aston can start shaping the marketing activities around the name. And what a name it is. It’s got to rank right up there with Interceptor as one of the coolest names ever to be put on a car.
Otherwise there’s nothing more to tell, yet. Check out our story from a few weeks ago for juicy details on the drivetrain and the companies involved.

It’s named after women who choose who die in battle
Oh look
Three ready to dig their graves
About 800 of the Porsche 918.
About 400 of the McLaren P1.
About 1500 of the Ferrari LaFerrari.
The Aston will only make 100 of these.
There’s only like 600 lafs
The Valkyrie. When the Vulcan isnt badass enough.
I’m so pumped for this car
The team at Aston and Red Bull have been playing too much Clash Royale
Valkyries are the mythical creatures that chose who is to die and who is to survive. I can already see that Aston will drop that name as soon as one of them ends up in a fatal accident.
Well, the Valkyrja were really the female warrior spirits that carried slain soldiers to Valhöll (commonly Valhalla). So it should become an ambulance.
Nebula sounds much better but they’re sticking with the “V”
That is an Aston ishing name
