An Aston Martin DB11 Volante Is Coming, And It'll Look Like This
Just like the Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster we were ogling earlier this week, a drop-top Aston Martin DB11 ‘Volante’ is something we’ve been viewing as an inevitability. And sure enough, today Gaydon has confirmed that it is taking a giant tin-opener to the new DB11, releasing these prototype images to answer “some of the recent speculation” regarding the vehicle.
So, it’ll looks something like this, minus the riveted chunks of metal that are adorning the rear three-quarter. Other than the fact the car will be available from Spring 2018, Aston hasn’t revealed any other details.
We can expect the same 5.2-litre, 600bhp turbo V12 from the coupe to live under the bonnet, and the 3.9sec 0-62mph of the tin top to drop a little owing to the usual convertible weight gain. The £154,900 will also rise slightly.
Would you have a coupe, or a convertible?

Oh…
In a strange way the back of the car reminds me of a new camaro and BMW 6 series
Coupe. Convertibles with soft tops kind of destroy the smooth lines…
An Aston that dosent look good from all angles…
How does it’s aeroblade spoiler work when there is no intakes behind the rear pillars and the roof has been removed?
I really don’t like the way the DB11 looks from the rear, chopping off the roof only makes it worse….(in my opinion)
Looks like the old BMW 6 Series…… not good.
Looks much better than the coupe
It looks sooooooooo good
