As competition for advertising space and opportunities heats up within the automotive space, worldwide manufacturers are looking for new and novel ways in which to spread the word about their latest vehicle products. Whether it's product placement in music videos, billboards or in TV dramas and feature-length films, the race is on to reach the mass market.

In a novel take on a TV series, a project taken on by the channel FX, the German giant Audi have decided to work with the creators of Untitled Jersey City Project to showcase their latest flagship models. But the concept is different than a bog-standard series. This particular show, which you can see the first episode of below on the YouTube player, is an experiment; it's a work-in progress television drama.

Briefly, there are 8 short-form episodes which make up small pieces of a puzzle of a much larger show. It's up to the viewer to put the pieces together to form conclusions and tie together storylines from the plot.

And the plot is another story in itself.

The story is set in Jersey City where an attractive new complex is on the verge of being built. Our main character, Frank George is in charge of the building of the project, but along the way, they meet caniving businessmen and people who don't have their best interests at heart.

One of the main reasons we here at Car Throttle wanted to touch on this piece, was that Audi have made sure each of the main characters gets some wheel-time with their latest and greatest. Notably the A7 and A8 make an appearance and the sleek front grilles and LED running lights signify part of a growing Audi trend which sees them moving and dominating the mid-tier executive saloon segment of the market.

Keep your eyes peeled and make sure you hit up FX Channel for the story's continuation.
