Hitting the track at 600mph - we don't care that it doesn't make sense when it's this awesome!

Released earlier this month, Chaos Ride - Episode 1 is an incredibly fast-paced mobile game from developer sc0tt games. The first instalment of the game is available from Google Play and the App Store, with more releases coming soon. You’ll need a newer device to be able to handle the intense graphics, though.

The first release has three tracks that can also be run in reverse, with 15 different challenges to complete on each. It can be played in one of five modes: Race, Marathon, Eliminator, Time Trial and Survival. In race mode, you’ll be competing against five other drivers blasting through tubes in a fictional city.

If you’re serious about winning, you can forget everything you know about real world racing. Developer Scott Harber says “braking, drifting, and cornering are all irrelevant here - the game is entirely about launching your vehicle around the tracks at insane speeds.”

Playing Chaos Ride is not easy. This is by far the fastest mobile racing game we’ve ever seen, and it will take some practice to master. The extreme speeds give you an adrenaline rush, with ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ racing lines. It takes a great amount of concentration and precise positioning to accelerate through turns. If you’re skilled enough to finish first in an event, you will unlock special features to customise your ride to do the only thing that matters: go faster!

Episode 2 of Chaos Ride will be released in the first week of August, and features even more variety with new tracks and environments. Developer sc0tt games tells CT that there will be roller coaster-like elements in the new release, including a vertical loop, some corkscrew turns and even a jump over a volcano (as if the ride wasn’t intense enough). He also tells us that feedback from the first release has been taken into consideration when designing the new environments, which will include more than just a city scene - levels on lava, an alpine mountain and in a forest have been promised.

In-game footage of the new release will be shown to race fans in Indianapolis on the jumbotron during the Brickyard 400 weekend, but we have these exclusive shots for you now. Check it out and share your thoughts!
