A DIY Resonator Delete Is A Stupidly Cheap Way Of Making Your BMW M4 Sound Awesome
This M4 owner chopped the resonator out of his car's exhaust only one week after taking delivery. What do you think of the results?
It’s difficult to find many flaws with the new BMW M4, but the owner of this one thought that it needed a little improvement in the noise stakes. According to a thread on Bimmerpost, the German owner decided a little modification was in order, just a week after taking delivery of the car. He removed the resonator box, installed two straight pipes going through and refitted the unit, bypassing the resonator while still keeping a ‘factory’ look. Clever, no?
Unfortunately, there’s no ‘before’ video, but if you compare it to the hard launch in the standard car we shot above, it sounds like an improvement.
What do you think?
