Ford GT Suffers Monster Shunt After Spinning At Spa’s Infamous Eau Rouge
Stefan Mücke lost control of the No. 66 Ford GT at Spa’s infamous Eau Rouge/Raidillon complex after a piece of bodywork flew off the car in the final hour of the FIA WEC race
Incredibly, after such a hefty shunt, Ford has confirmed that despite Mücke suffering “a fair bit of bruising” he is okay, following medical checks at the circuit

So even the Ford GT WEC racecar wants to crash into crowds…
It shares the family tradition with his younger brother.
“Ah … gonna miss the kerb … ah a bit sharper steering so i can still hit it… eh … drifting? … eh … braking? … eh no! wrong choice … bang”
I’m willing to bet that it was a catastrophic failure in the engine bay (blew up the turbo maybe?) loss of power equals unwanted weight transfer. Due to engine failure or undesired change in air pressure from the spin, the engine bay cover blew out.
The engine has a lot of race miles already in other cars, so they shouldn’t have spectacular failures of that sort on track.
They have had some transmission issues, including a lock-up, so that could be what knocked him loose at that spectacularly inconvenient time.
Other guess is a panel coming lose, killing downforce at the rear
Just like its brothers it can’t turn
It CAN turn. The driver just messed up. Biased JDM fanboy.
Wow a ford that cant turn! Oh wait, thats why we know their name.
Booo, bad joke.
Too much Eco for one rear diffuser
Mustang kicked in yo !
Trying to be as cool as his son-Mustang
one minute of silence for our fallen hero
The problem, because I’m an expert, is that Ford didn’t consult TopGear about their wing..
