Over at the Ford stall, the Fiesta ST took centre stage as a hot hatch to watch out for when it hits the roads in the coming months. This is evidently a younger sibling to the Focus ST which also managed to get a RS version released due to its roaring success - I'm hoping that's a trend that will continue with the Fiesta too.
Styling wise, I absolutely love the lowered grille, 17" alloy wheels and menacing chromed out dual exhausts. An added wing on the boot will help give this pocket rocket more downforce and a low down diffuser helps to channel air appropriately around the vehicle for minimal drag and optimal handling distribution.
The interior sees the Fiesta ST gain Recaro seats for the driver and passenger and contrast stitching inside demonstrates the premium, sporty nature of this Ford. The engine unit is a fiesty 1.6-litre EcoBoost which cranks out 177bhp and 240Nm of torque which can propel the ST to a top speed of just over 220km/h. The 62mph sprint comes in at just under 7 seconds making this one of the faster hatches on the market today. Whilst producing less than 140g/km in CO2 emissions, the Fiesta ST is really setting a new benchmark. Kudos to Ford on a great launch.
