This Has To Be One Of The Biggest Jump Starts In Motorsport History
Richard Mork started on pole position for the second V8 Utes race at Phillip Island last weekend but suffered a huge jump start. It was so big he had a lead of five seconds by the first lap!
Unsurprisingly, after gaining such an advantage, the stewards felt a five-second penalty wasn’t enough and he was handed a drive-through penalty.
Mork explained the jump start in a post on Facebook:
“Foot slipped off the clutch and had to keep going to get out of everyone’s way.”

Are those Pickuptrucks??
We call em utes in Australia. Short for utility vehicle. Most are LS motors and can be claimed off tax since their utility vehicles because of the tray. Lots of trades men in Oz drive them.
They are CoupeUtilityVehicles- just like the Elcaminos, Durangos(ford), VW Caddys, Suby Brats, we have in america. Rancheros, Sprints, Bajas,Cabaleros, Rampages. They are cars, normally on a lwb/stationwagon chassis, like the Elcamino/Sprint/Cabalero on the Malibu or Chvelle wagon chassis. Main difference in ours, and theirs is a seperated bed&cab.
