Here's The Aftermath Of A Sickening Megane RS Crash At The 'Ring
This horrifying wreck at the Nurburgring left both the driver and passenger in hospital
This massive wreck happened on Thursday at the Kurvenpassage section of the Nordschleife. Speaking to Car Throttle, eyewitness and CT friend Steve Warson who was two cars behind the Renaultsport Megane told us that the crash was an overreaction from the driver after spotting an animal on the track.
He backed off, causing lift-off oversteer followed by a spin and a roll. The driver needed an operation on an injured hand, while the passenger suffered a concussion.
Not a bad outcome considering the severity of the crash, but a lot of that is down to safety gear. “The car had six-point harnesses, bucket seats and a cage. Without these things the outcome would have been very different,” Steve told us.

God damn

I see NON of that. It’s just modern cars have reinforced cabins. Ofcourse the things above level up the safety a lot but if pictures are from this specific crash the cabin and seats are not modified! The well designed car saved them thank God and Renault in that case.
