Here's The New 700bhp+ Shelby Mustang GT500 Making All The Right Noises

While that rumbly soundtrack is quite clearly one belonging to a V8, we can’t tell whether or not the engine is running any kind of forced induction. It does seem on the cards though, as Ford will struggle to match the likes of the 650bhp Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and 697bhp Dodge Challenger Hellcat simply using a highly-modified version of the GT350’s 5.2-litre flat-plane V8.

In fact, it’s even rumoured that the next GT500 could produce as much as 800bhp. Still want a Hellcat?

It’s nice to hear! some cars just need a V8 no matter what! The Challenger can be had with a 300 HP V6 which sounds neat until you actually hear one….. It’s an abomination!

Have they tested the “leave car meet function” yet? I don’t think they ever got it right.
