Here's Why The Col du Turini Is One Of The Most Special Roads On Earth
Driving in Monaco is rubbish. Sure, you might recognise the odd bit of the famous Grand Prix circuit, but crippling congestion means the novelty quickly wears off.
Yes, there are loads of supercars kicking around, but they’re mostly driven by people only interested in showing off. Those who actually like driving are better off going a little further north.
Do so, and before long, you’ll be on the Col du Turini, a fabulous mountain pass with over 5000-feet of elevation. It too has motorsport pedigree - the road forms an unforgiving 19-mile stage of the Montecarlo Rally.
Evo’s Adam Towler decided to sample the road, using perhaps the ideal kind of car for such an excursion - a hot hatch. Specifically, the Hyundai i30 Fastback N.
Give the video a watch - we can almost guarantee you’ll want to head there yourself.
