This Is How Gorgeous The Porsche Boxster Spyder GT4 Could Look
Yesterday it was revealed that Porsche is working on a GT version of the Boxster Spyder. This is very exciting news. The Cayman GT4 is an engineering marvel with a manual gearbox, so the fact that the Boxster is getting similar treatment is enough to have us giggling with glee. A convertible track car sounds like the ultimate summer ride.
The car wouldn’t be quite as capable as the Cayman GT4 around a circuit thanks to the fact the roof’s been lopped off, causing a bit of extra flex in the chassis. The problem’s far less pronounced in modern convertibles though, and you can be sure Porsche has a few tricks up its sleeves to counter any issues that may arise.
The Boxster Spyder GT4 will likely run the same 3.8-litre engine found in the Cayman, though it’s unclear in what state of tune. If you missed out on one of the limited number of Caymans, this could be the car for you.
