I'm Driving A BMW M2 For 3 Months: What Do You Want To Know?

We've just taken the keys to our latest long-term test car: a manual BMW M2. What do you want to see us do with it, and what do you want to know about the car?
I'm Driving A BMW M2 For 3 Months: What Do You Want To Know?

TeamCT’s long-term test garage has received an injection of BMW M Division this week, and it’s all thanks to the arrival of this jolly handsome M2. It’ll sit alongside ‘our’ Ford Mustang GT, and the Civic Type R we’ve been running since April - albeit just for a couple of weeks until we hold back the tears and send it back to Honda.

It’s finished in Long Beach Blue, and - as requested by an overwhelming majority of CTzens in a poll we ran a few months back - it’s rocking the six-speed manual gearbox, as opposed to the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

I'm Driving A BMW M2 For 3 Months: What Do You Want To Know?

We have a busy schedule in mind for the M2, involving twin tests with competitors and BMW’s own cars, a hot date with Colin - Alex’s E36 M3 - road trips, and a lot more. Most importantly, we want to answer this question over the next three months: is the M2 a worthy M car?

As ever though, we want you guys to get involved with your own suggestions. Is there a particular aspect of M2 ownership you want to know about? Do you think there’s a car we simply have to test it against? Want to know how many bottles of Candyup fit in the boot? Hit the comments section now at let us know.

I want to know how it would be if you guys traded it with my car for a while, I´ll obviously get myself a very good opinion about the M2 then and would love to share it afterwards.

The M2 seems to be the “ultimate-fun-car” … but forgetting all the practical choices… how realistic would be to use it as a daily driver. Would it be possible to actually keep a light foot and get it economic? Could you move some furniture with it? How comfortable would it be to drive around all your friends?

Is it worth the premium over an M235? I’ve driven modified M235s with as much as 500bhp for a lot less ££ than the M2 will come in at, but power aside does the M2 have something about it that makes it worth the step up in price?!
