It's Official: The First Stop Of Clarkson And Co's Grand Tour Will Be Johannesburg
The producers of The Grand Tour have announced where Clarkson, Hammond and May's Top Gear follow-up will stop first: Johannesburg, South Africa
While a lot of people weren’t bowled over by the title ‘The Grand Tour‘ - chosen for Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May’s new car show - the name does have a point. Its studio will be a massive tent that tours around the world, and now the first location has been revealed: Johannesburg, South Africa, where filming will take place on 17 July 2016.
Details on how to obtain tickets has not yet been revealed, but three pairs are being given away as a competition prize, including travel to Johannesburg plus accommodation. All you have to do is show the weirdest place you’ve ever put a tent. Simple, no?
For the rest of us, we’ll be keeping an eye on Twitter and Instagram on 17 July to get a cheeky look inside the trio’s canvas studio…
